Brisbane Counter-terrorism raids on home police arrest 20-year-old man

  •  A 20-year-old man has been arrested following a counter-terrorism raid
  •  He has been taken into custody by Brisbane police and is being questioned
  •  The AFP said there was no risk to the community and no charges have been laid

A 20-year-old man has been arrested following a counter-terrorism raid on a home in Kuraby, south of Brisbane. 

The Brisbane Joint Counter Terrorism Team swarmed the property just after 4am this morning and are still on the scene.

They took a 20-year-old man into custody and he is currently being questioned by the police. No charges have been laid yet.

The AFP said there was no risk to the community and that no further comment would be made while the matter was ongoing.   

The are expected to issue a statement later today.
