Britain’s Got Talent suffers major technical failure just minutes into ITV’s first live show

Britain’s Got Talent suffered a major technical failure less than 15 minutes into its first live show of the series on Monday night.

Screens went black on ITV shortly before 7:45pm, before the channel was forced to air a ‘sorry for the disruption’ message.

For the first time in the popular show’s history the live shows are taking place at London’s Hammersmith Apollo instead of ITV’s studios.

Shortly after Declan Donnelly took to the stage for his first solo show without embattled partner Ant McPartlin, fans were left frustrated by the technical hitch.

ITV have been forced to air old audition footage as they rush to fix the problem during their flagship programme.
