British boxing star Amir Khan ROBBED at gunpoint while with wife Faryal Makhdoom in east London on Monday night – as Bolton hero reveals two men took his watch off him in Leyton but adds the pair ‘are both safe’

Amir Khan was robbed at gunpoint while with wife Faryal Makhdoom as two robbers took his watch in east London on Monday night, the British boxing star revealed. 

Khan, 35, told of his ordeal in a tweet, saying: ‘Just had my watch taken off me at gun point in East London, Leyton.

‘I crossed the road with Faryal (Khan’s wife), luckily she was few steps behind me. 2 men ran to me, he asked for my watch whist having a gun pointed in my face. 

‘The main thing is we’re both safe.’

The former boxing world champion married Makhdoom in 2013 in New York and the couple have three children, named Lamisah, Muhammad and Alayna.

Lamisah was born in 2014, Faryal gave birth to their daughter Alayna in 2018 and Muhammad was born in 2020.

Khan most recently fought in February in Manchester, where he lost to Kell Brook, but recently stated he does not plan to retire.
