The remains of a British man who disappeared last month while on holiday with his family in Thailand have been discovered, it is reported.
Martin Wood, 48, a married father-of-two from Devon, was last seen leaving the Dream Boutiques Hotel in the town of Cha-am around 5am on December 30.
A body was discovered a short distance from where he was last seen on Wednesday and police are now waiting for an autopsy to confirm whether it is Wood.

A maid who worked at the hotel, where Wood was a frequent visitor, told Khaosod that a t-shirt and shorts found at the scene matched the clothes he was last seen in.
The remains were discovered in a wooded area around 300m inland in Phetchaburi province.
Investigators say it appears the man had been dead for around 18 days, though could not give a cause of death.
Wood was known to have medical problems and suffered from alcoholism, according to hotel staff.

Wood was three weeks into a month-long stay at the Dream Boutiques Hotel in Cha-Am (beige building) when he went missing in a ‘vulnerable state’
A GoFundMe account set up to raise money for search efforts described him as being in a ‘vulnerable state’ at the time he disappeared.
At the time of his disappearance he was in the third week of a month-long stay at the hotel with his father, Colin.
His passport and bank cards were discovered in his room after he vanished, according to Devon Live.
He was well-known in his home town of Crediton for running the Woods Group, a scrap metal merchant.
