British girl, 15, ‘is raped by 16-year-old tourist’ on Greek island

A 15-year-old British girl has reportedly been raped by an Italian tourist on the Greek island of Halki.

Police have since launched a manhunt for the alleged suspect, said to be a 16-year-old from Italy who was on holiday on the island, west of Rhodes.

The alleged attack reportedly took place in the early hours of Wednesday morning in the Pondamos area of the island.

The young girl said she was raped between 4.30am and 5am by the Italian tourist. 

Following the alleged attack, the young Brit visited a doctor’s surgery with her mother.

Police have reportedly now acquired a series of witness statements as they continue their urgent search for the Italian 16-year-old.
