Tommy Lee Morris, 20, had the fatal accident earlier this week at the Paraje de Los Balcones track in Murcia

An investigation into his death has been launched, according to Murcia Today.

A GoFundMe page set up by Kelly Stevens on behalf of John Morris, says: ‘Our hearts are all broken that a member of our motocross family has passed away doing what we all love doing and watching!!

‘Tommy was one of the most caring and kindest lads you would ever meet at a track and no matter What it was he or his whole family would be the first to help in anything.

‘Tommy and his family are out in Spain riding when the most awful accident has taken place and Tommy has had a motocross accident and sadly has passed away doing what he loved the most and that was riding.

‘We have set this page up to help his family and friends bring him home where he belongs and to help in anyway we can. Bringing Tom Boy home isn’t gonna easy and this will help financially and mean so much to the MX FAMILY that we all are.’

The page has so far raised nearly £25,000.

Wild Tracks Mx, the motocross centre Morris attended in Suffolk, paid tribute to the youngster over the weekend on Facebook.

‘Tommy a very talented lad has been coming to us since just a young lad and over the years he’s just got quicker and quicker but sadly motocross is dangerous and can be very cruel at times, I just can’t believe I’m having to write this.’ The post said.
