Brittany Hockley admits she envies BFF Laura Byrne’s life with a husband and kids

Brittany Hockley has made the surprising admission she sometimes feels ‘friendship envy’ towards her Life Uncut co-host and best friend Laura Byrne.

The singleton, 35, revealed on the No Filter podcast that despite never feeling ‘jealous’ of her BFF, she often wishes she could have certain ‘parts’ of Laura’s life.

‘I don’t love the word jealousy,’ Brittany explained to host Mia Freedman.

‘But there are parts of each other’s life that we wish we could have. There are parts of [Laura’s life] where I get really sad because I look at her family and we [talked about] Matt and Laura’s relationship and getting married on the radio last week and I cried.’

She added: ‘I cried with happiness, but I cried because I’m like, “I wish I could have that feeling.” And I see her with the kids and I wish I could have that.’

Brittany said Laura is also sometimes envious of her because she is single and has no children, but the pair are always ‘very supportive of each other’.

‘Laura looks at me being like, “F**k, you can wake up, and you can go for a run if you want! You can do whatever you want,” and she envies that,’ she explained.

‘But I think because we’re both such… very honest communicators with each other, there’s never any maliciousness in our envy at all.’
