Brooke Blurton hints she could be the next Bachelorette – with male and female contestants

She dated two women before beginning her journey on The Bachelor.

And Brooke Blurton hinted on Thursday that she could possibly become the franchise’s first pansexual female suitor.

The 23-year-old youth worker said next year’s leading lady should be open to dating both men and women – a statement that suggests the possibility she could be a future Bachelorette herself.

Fan favourite: Pansexual Bachelor star Brooke Blurton dropped a major hint she could be the new Bachelorette after saying the next suitor ‘should be open to dating men and women’

‘Love is pretty powerful and I love the fact that love is love, and people should have the opportunity to go on the show regardless,’ she told Who magazine.

Earlier in the season, Brooke told the Bachelor Nick Cummins that she had been in relationships with two women before applying for the show.

She does not identify as lesbian or bisexual and instead claims she is attracted to a person regardless of their gender, which suggests she is pansexual.

She told Nick, 30, during a cocktail party: ‘This is really uncomfortable for me to tell you but… I’ve had two relationships with women

‘When I was in those relationships, I looked beyond what they were as female and I really loved [them] for who they were as people.’

Brooke has spent the most time with Nick out of all the contestants, but it has been confirmed she does not win the show.

It is widely rumoured that Brooke leaves the competition of her own choosing rather than being sent home by Nick.

There are currently four women left after Wednesday’s episode saw the former Wallaby say goodbye to Emily Dibden and Dasha Gaivoronski.

The remaining contestants are: Brooke, Brittany Hockley, 30, Cassandra Wood, 24, and Sophie Tieman, 25.
