Two brothers have narrowly escaped death by crawling through a window after their washing machine sparked a raging inferno that melted their walls.
Joel Hector says his older brother saved his life, after he noticed their home in Gippsland, Victoria had caught alight.
David Hector saw the bathroom wall was melting away when he realised the washing machine was completely engulfed in flames.

He quickly alerted his younger brother and the pair managed to escape the blaze before the house disintegrated into ash.
The teenager told 9News he was shocked to wake into chaos as his sibling shouted the dire warning.
‘All I heard was Dave screaming, ”Joel get up! There’s a fire”,’he said.
‘I jumped out of bed in my jocks, looked out my bedroom door and five metres away from me there were flames crawling up my wall.’
