Sydney pub baron, Bruce Soloman has sealed the deal on a high-end property in the affluent northern beaches suburb of Whale Beach.

Mr Soloman purchased the classic 1980s brick home with plans to renovate the $5.8 million purchase.

The house is one of only 45 properties on the private and exclusive strip with beach-front views.

In the past year only seven of these beach homes have come on to the market and the area has proven to be in high demand. 

The value of these houses in Whale Beach have been pushed up as much as one million dollars. 

With beach-front views and a close knit community, the housing prices have risen 15 per cent in the past 12 months.

According to Domain, the exclusive suburb came in second the famous Sydney surburb of Palm Beach but has since improved.

‘Whale Beach has been under performing compared with Palm Beach for years, but that’s changed to the point that sites that were selling for about $4.2 million a year ago are now selling for about $5.2 million,’ said David Edwards from LJ Hooker in Palm Beach

Last year, the businessman purchased one of Sydney’s most popular venues, the Marlborough Hotel in Newtown.
