A dad has sparked a heated debate after ranking popular chocolates from best to worst – with Turkish Delight and Milky Way taking out the top spot and Flake dubbed ‘cat vomit’.

Media manager Bruno Bouchet, from Sydney, shared his ‘definitive’ list after taste testing 18 classic treats from the Favourites and Celebrations boxes.

‘The 100 per cent accurate Favourites vs Celebrations power rankings. Don’t bother commenting, this isn’t up for discussion,’ the former Kyle & Jackie O radio show producer wrote on Instagram.

Controversially, Moro, Turkish Delight and Milk Way were awarded the coveted top spot in the ‘God tier’ category.

Bruno said Moro is the ‘greatest chocolate bar ever gifted upon this earth’ while describing Milky Way as an ‘amazing piece of confectionery.’

‘Moro is the rich man’s Mars bar,’ he explained.

Picnic and Snickers made the list of the second best chocolates, followed by Galaxy Caramel and Old Gold.

Some noticed a 'discrepancy' between the latest list and the first ever chocolate bar ranking he made in 2019 where he placed Milky Bar in the 'cat vomit' tier (pictured). But Bruno confirmed his taste has changed over the years - and he now considers Milky Way in the 'God' tier

In the centre of his rankings, Bruno put Mars, Crunchie, Boost and Dairy Milk in the ‘Adam Sandler tier’, or what he describes as the middle ground of ‘take it or leave it’.

The ‘pleb’, also known as the second-lowest tier, consisted of Cherry Ripe, Dairy Milk Caramello, Galaxy and Maltesers Teasers.

Flake and Bounty stood at the bottom of the barrel in the ‘cat vomit’ tier, along with Dream.

Not everyone agreed with Bruno’s choices, with many taking particular issue with the high placements of Moro and Turkish Delight.

‘Turkish delight needs its own tier lower than the lowest of the low. You know it,’ one wrote, while another added: ‘I’m speechless. Moro. Really. Moro? Wow. Just wow.’

Another said: ‘Turkish delight? You’ve finally lost your marbles? Lockdown taking a terrible toll,’ while one wrote: ‘An outrage! Clearly the top and bottom tiers should be swapped!’

Some noticed a ‘discrepancy’ between the latest list and the first ever chocolate bar ranking he made in September 2019 where he placed Milky Bar in the ‘cat vomit’ tier.

‘Milky Way has gone from “Cat Vomit Tier” to “God Tier”,’ one woman wrote, while another added: ‘One year ago you put Milky Way in the cat vomit tier?’

However, Bruno explained: ‘I respect your research… I did a lot of soul searching after that list and realised that it wasn’t the Milky Way that was gross… it was me.’

Meanwhile, there were some who agreed with his rankings, with one saying: ‘Finally someone else who appreciates the delicate genius that is, Turkish Delight.’
