Brushed aside! UFC star gets his hair COMBED in between rounds before easing to points win in Saudi Arabia… leaving his opponent livid as he shoves him after the final bell

UFC veteran Alexander Volkov had his hair combed in between rounds before beating Sergei Pavlovich in the co-main event in Saudi Arabia. 

Volkov claimed victory via points after three rounds in the all-Russia heavyweight bout in Riyadh, with Judges scoring the contest 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28 in his favour. 

Fans were left bemused when they spotted the 35-year-old getting his hair combed in between the two intervals while taking in instructions from his trainers. 

The bizarre incident didn’t affect his performance in the ring though as he dominated the fight, having doubled Pavlovich’s total when it came to total strikes and significant hits. 

Fans took to social media to react with one saying: ‘Attention to appearance has become part of the fight.’

Another joked: ‘Volkov has his coach, cutman, and hairstylist working on him between rounds. Busy, busy, busy.’

A third fan posted on X: ‘This is called “The Corner man special” facial and a haircut’. 

‘Getting your hair combed between rounds is huge main character vibes’ a fourth said. 

Tensions flared up at the end of the fight when a bloodied Pavlovich shoved Volkov before walking away. 

Reacting to the incident in his post-fight interview, Volkov said: ‘ I don’t know. I just come to say thank you for a great fight. 

‘He was mad because I’m fighting with him. but it wasn’t anything bad for him it was just making all people like our fight.’  

The pair are friends and trained together numerous times, with eyebrows raised when they both agreed to take the fight.
