Buckinghamshire pharmacy broken into by thieves who park below CCTV camera

This is the shocking moment a thief broke into a historic pharmacy before carrying off two tills as his accomplice waited for him inside a car parked directly underneath a CCTV camera.

In the clip, filmed inside Kinton Pharmacy in Great Missenden in Buckinghamshire, a car can be seen parking outside the shop before a young man gets out.

He picks up a plant pot from the shop next door and then throws it through the window.

He then breaks the rest of the smashed glass and runs across the shop floor

After smashing the window he climbs into the shop and runs over to the counter before grabbing two tills.

He drags the tills over to the window as the woman gets out of the car and loads them on to the back seats.

The man runs back inside and grabs a tablet from the till before getting back into the car and driving off.

The whole raid, which took place at 00.50am on August 9, took just over two minutes.

Ronak Patel, his wife Jaanki Patel, and a third person who wishes to remain anonymous, bought the pharmacy three years ago.

The owner said that this is the first time the pharmacy, which has existed since the mid-1700s and was Roald Dahl’s local chemist, has been broken into.

They added: ‘This is the last thing we needed especially with the recent pharmacy cuts.

‘We are vital part of the community and provide an essential service to all the residents of the village.’

Thames Valley Police have been contacted for comment.
