Builder, 29, falls through a pub hatch just like the classic Only Fools And Horses sketch

This is the hilarious moment a man falls through a hatch in a pub just like Del Boy in the classic scene from Only Fools And Horses.

The amusing clip shows Dave Bufton, 29, from Worcestershire, chatting up a girl at a bar as he tries to play it cool.

The builder can be seen trying to woo the girl at The Crow pub in Tenbury Wells, by holding her hand and even goes in for a peck on the cheek.

But as he tries to lean back on the bar he is sent flying through the open hatch, which the barmaid had opened, and lands face first on the ground.

The man clumsily falls as punters in the pub can be heard screaming with laughter.

The amazing moment has been compared to the iconic Only Fools and Horses scene where Del Boy and Trigger are at their local pub, The Nags Head, trying to impress the ladies.

Del Boy tells his friend to ‘play it cool’ as he tries to lean against the bar- but falls straight through the hatch and onto the floor.

But friends were quick to comment that the scene looked like a set up.

Mr Bufton told MailOnline that the scene was a joke and that everyone in the bar had fallen for the hilarious stunt.

He said:  ‘It was a prank that only three people knew about a few years ago that has recently resurfaced.’

Pub landlord Nick Crow, who filmed the scene, also admitted it was staged.

He told The Sun Online: ‘The lad Dave always wanted to do it — we got the staff member and the girl he was talking to to play their part and it came off brilliantly.

‘That was the beauty of it, it was only the three of them that knew as well as me filming it.’
