About 80 of Burt Reynolds’ friends and relatives shared memories of the late actor at a private memorial service Thursday.
Reynolds’ ex-wife Loni Anderson, 73, and their son Quinton Anderson Reynolds, 30, were among the speakers at the Thursday service, a family spokeswoman, Cheryl Kagan, told The Associated Press.
The memorial for Reynolds, who died at age 82 on September 6 at a hospital in Jupiter, Florida, was held at Quattlebaum Funeral Home in North Palm Beach, Florida.

A death certificate issued September 10 that was obtained by Entertainment Tonight said that Reynolds had already been cremated.
Neither family nor officials have revealed a cause of death.
Reynolds was reportedly laid to rest Wednesday in Palm Beach County, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Quinton, whom the couple adopted together the year they married, is Reynolds’ only child. They are picture together in May 2005
Bobby Bowden, former longtime football coach at Florida State University, where Reynolds was a player, opened the service with a prayer and went on to tell stories from throughout the actor’s life.
Anderson, who had a notoriously difficult divorce from Reynolds, shared happier moments from their 12 years together, calling their son Quinton their ‘greatest collaboration.’
She was Reynolds’ second wife and he her third husband. The pair were married from 1988 until 1994.

Quinton, whom the couple adopted together the year they married, is Reynolds’ only child.
Prior to his relationship with Anderson, Reynolds was married to the English comic actress Judy Carne from 1963 until 1965. He also famously carried on a relationship with Sally Field during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Other guests at Thursday’s memorial service included Lee Corso, the ESPN football analyst who was a teammate and roommate of Reynolds in college, and former NCAA and NFL quarterback Doug Flutie.
