The cast of controversial Netflix series, Byron Baes, have been living it up on the Gold Coast as they film party scenes.

Stars of the influencer-led reality show were seen on board the YOT Club for an event, on Thursday.

Kyle Sandilands’ former assistant-turned-manager Alex Reid was spotted with co-star Sarah St James as they looked at something on his phone.

Saskia appeared to be in a rather intense conversation with the another producer.

Moments later, Dave was seen joining in on the discussion with Saskia and the production team.

They cast appeared to be taking amongst themselves as hunky male waiters walked around offering with flutes of champagne, platters of food and gift boxes for attendees.

At the end of the evening, the Byron Baes cast and guests disembarked the yacht, including one couple appeared to have had a great night out together before putting their face masks back on.

The male dressed in a lavish faux fur coat, while a woman wore a very revealing bejewelled bra with a sarong around her waist as she carried her sparkling platform heels.

Byron Bay’s traditional owners have rejected a donation offer from Netflix amid controversy over their planned influencer reality series, Byron Baes.

The donation was offered following an outcry that the streaming giant had not consulted with local Indigenous groups before planning the series.

In a statement issued last month, The Arakwal Corporation, representing the Bundjalung people of Byron Bay, revealed they unanimously agreed to ‘not accept a donation from Eureka Productions or Netflix’.

‘We were not consulted prior to the filming of Season 1 of Byron Baes or consulted before the production was announced,’ the statement read.

‘We are not in agreement with the nature of the series concept as it does not respect our community, cultural practices and values.’

According to Sydney Morning Herald, Netflix confirmed that they did indeed offer a donation but that per a source, ‘the sum was not large’.  

Joining the cast are former reality stars Nathan Favro, from The Bachelorette, and Elias Chigros, from Love Island Australia.
