A teenager charged over the gang rape of two 15-year-old girls allegedly told one of the victims to ‘suck my d***’, before issuing an apology.

The 19-year-old is one of four charged with offences relating to the alleged repeated rapes of the teenage girls by ten men at Calamvale District Park, south of Brisbane, on December 28.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, unsuccessfully applied for bail in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.

He faces 40 charges, including 16 counts of rape.

Senior Constable Min Hu alleged in court the 19-year-old raped one of the victims for up to 15 minutes, The Courier-Mail reported.

He allegedly grabbed the girl by the head and told her to ‘suck my d**k’, Snr Constable Hu said.

The two girls told the men to stop throughout the ordeal, the court heard.

The 19-year-old also said to the victim ‘sorry if we hurt you’, Snr Constable Hu told the court.

There are claims the alleged sexual assaults were filmed, the court heard, but videos have not yet surfaced.

Defence lawyer Bianca Van Heerden said her 19-year-old client was at the park on the night but denied the accusations put to him.

‘The charges have come as an absolute shock … and (he) will strongly contest the charges,’ she said.

Ms Van Heerden said her client was asked to hang out with one of the girls via Snapchat.

The 19-year-old provided alcohol for the group to share and cannabis for personal use, she said.

Ms Van Heerden said there were no allegations her client used violence on the two teenagers.

Queensland Police Commissioner Katarina Carroll earlier said it is likely more people will be charged in the coming days.

A number of the men allegedly ‘got to know’ the two girls, and the incident evolved from that, she said.

‘This is an absolutely sickening incident, and something those young girls will have to live with for the rest of their lives,’ she said.

Another three men – aged between 19 and 22 – have also been charged with about 40 offences each.

One faced court on Saturday and the other two were due to front Richlands Magistrates Court on Monday.

The charges include rape, indecent treatment of a child under 16, stupefying to commit indictable offence, taking a child for immoral purposes and assault with intent to commit rape.
