An Amber Alert has been issued for a 15-year-old California girl who was last seen with her mother and a man who are both wanted in connection to a gruesome stabbing murder.  

Police announced Thursday they’re searching for 15-year-old Hispanic teen Alora Benitez. 

Her mother Maricela Mercado, 40, and Roman Cerratos, 39, are suspects in the stabbing death of a man whose body was found in a car in the city of Carson early Tuesday morning.

Both are considered armed and dangerous, according to police.

Alora was last seen leaving with the suspects in a white 2013 four-door BMW around 9am on Wednesday in Torrance. 

The car has a Nevada license plate that reads ‘MARIMAR’, but the Sheriff’s Department says it may have been removed and replaced with a paper plate. 

Cops say it’s not clear if Alora willingly left with the suspects. 

‘Los Angeles County Homicide Bureau is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Alora and safely returning her to her family,’ the LA County sheriff’s department said in a statement. ‘Please do not take independent action, call 9-1-1 and alert local police or sheriff’s officials.’

Alora is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 100 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. 

Officials found a man dead inside a parked white Audi car in Carson early Tuesday morning around 3.30am. 

According to the LA County Sheriff’s Department, it has been described as a deadly stabbing and the victim, found in the front seat, was pronounced dead at the scene.

 The victim of the apparent murder has not been revealed and the connection between the three is not clear

The official cause of death is pending an autopsy. 

Cerratos is described as a Hispanic male, standing at about 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing about 210 pounds. He is bald and brown eyes.

Mercado is described as a Hispanic female who is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
