Exhibitonist university lecturer Dr Victoria Bateman is at it again.
Four years after posing nude for a portrait shown at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London, the economics fellow at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, has stripped down to make a point about gender inequality.
Posing in the historic university after giving a talk, entitled Feminism Meets Economics, at the Office for National Statistics, she covers her modesty with only a handful of £5 and £20 notes.

‘I’m a great believer in the power of art, which explains why I chose to dress like this,’ she says.
‘Art has a power that allows us to go beyond what the written or spoken word can offer.
‘Unless economists take feminism seriously, women’s rights and free-doms will continue to be under threat.
‘Economics needs to become intimately familiar with modern-day feminism if we are to make progress.’

‘When I asked what I’d done wrong, she accusingly said: “The author photograph on the back of your novels is at least 20 years out of date!” ’
The writer — whose Jack Reacher novels have sold 100 million copies — added wryly: ‘I’ve naturally updated my photo since.’
