Amused parents have taken to social media after spotting an unusual children’s quilt cover on sale at Australian budget retailer Target.

An Australian mum recently took to Facebook to share a photo of the $29 doona from the store’s catalogue and compared the innocent ‘swan’ print to something a little less G-rated.

‘OMG!! Sperm and egg quilts for kids at Target,’ she wrote.

The baffled mother’s reaction sparked a hilarious debate online, with hundreds of parents agreeing with her.

‘Omg I didn’t see that until you said it and now that’s all I can see,’ one commenter wrote.

‘All I see is SPERM,’ another wrote.

The ‘swan’ print itself has also proved to be somewhat divisive – with many claiming they see whales, mice, swans, flamingos and tadpoles.

It is, however, an innocent black swan print.

‘Our Swan Quilt Cover Set is a great way to bring a new and fun look to a child’s room,’ the official product description reads.

‘With a soft, comfy 180 thread count polyester/cotton blend fabric and a reversible contrasting pattern you will be assured of plenty of great nights wrapped up in this bedding set.’
