‘Michael you were a blast by the way. Not only were you kind, you gave food and drinks to us,’ Hoda said welcoming him to the show.

‘You guys did Gangnam style and that actually prompted the video because I had my phone out and was like, what is going on back there?’ Michael said.

‘We were actually moving to get closer to the other Canadian fans, all the Canadian fans were in front of them and then when I realized it was you guys I got a text from my mom asking where are you guys in the arena, who are you guys sitting with? And I was like this is who I’m sitting with,’ he said.

‘We couldn’t have had a better seat mate,’ Al Roker said.

Michael then invited them over to cheer with fans at Canada House.

‘See, it’s the Olympic spirit. We love it so much. Countries coming together,’ Savannah Guthrie said.

Michael also traveled to Brazil for the Olympic Games in Rio in the summer of 2016 to support Canada.

While on the show Hoda thanked him and said the group loved him, to which he admitted falling in love with the famed show host.

‘We love you too. I think I actually really love you,’ he said to Hoda.
