Carrie Bickmore called out for body odour on The Project

She’s The Project presenter who always looks the picture of poise on the Channel Ten current affairs show.

But it seems that Carrie Bickmore may have a slight problem after it was revealed she left her trademark ‘scent’ on a dress worn by guest host Rachel Corbett.

Coming back from an ad break, both Carrie and Rachel were seen to be laughing hysterically before Carrie made her on-the-nose admission

Sweaty Betty? It seems that Carrie Bickmore may have a slight problem with personal hygiene after it was revealed she left her trademark ‘scent’ on a dress worn by guest host Rachel Corbett on Thursday’s Project

‘Okay, we have to explain. Rachel’s borrowing one of my dresses tonight,’ Carrie said between giggles.

‘I didn’t realise she was borrowing one of my dresses and she just turned to me and said, ‘I think there’s residual smell in this dress from the last person that wore it ’cause I’m really smelling tonight. I said, ‘it was me.”’

Co-host Tommy Little chimed in, giving Carrie a nickname that is likely to stick with her for some time.

‘Old Carrie Stinkmore strikes again,’ the comedian said.

Looking for evidence, Carrie leant over toward Rachel in an effort to smell the media personality’s armpits.

When Rachel protested, Carrie shot back with: ‘If you’re going to accuse me on national television of smelling, put your arm up.’

Trying to diffuse the off-colour situation, but possibly making it worse, Rachel replied: ‘It smells worse than one person did this.’

Coming to Rachel’s defence, Waleed Aly pointed out that it was Carrie who outed herself.

‘To be fair, she didn’t accuse you on national TV,  you decided to share it with the nation.’

Continuing the joke, Tommy then pointed out the bizarre nature of the exchange with: ‘You just went to sniff each other’s armpits. We were nearly like a Japanese game show.’

Ever the professional, Carrie took the jibes in her stride and admitted: ‘It’s just as well you can’t smell us from home.’
