Carrie Underwood reveals how she narrowly avoided MAJOR wardrobe malfunction during Las Vegas residency: ‘Stage magic, people!’
Carrie Underwood was nearly added to the list of stars to experience an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction in front of a live audience.
Luckily, the incident happened in the moments just before she was about to take the stage for her Las Vegas residency, Reflection.
During an interview with People, the country music superstar revealed that a zipper unexpectedly gave way on the first outfit that she wears for her show at the Resorts World Theatre.
‘A zipper busted open right before I went onstage,’ the singer-songwriter, 40, recalled.
With the seconds ticking until the opening notes of the concert were played, one of her stylists came through with a game-saving idea in order for the show to go on without a delay.

It turns out all that they needed to do was coverup the area around the broken zipper.
‘Luckily my dresser added a big bow, and no one knew the difference,’ Underwood revealed to the publication. ‘Stage magic, people!’
In another shining example of how much timing plays a role in life, if the broken zipper had happened just minutes later it would have been in front of a packed house of 5,000 Carrie Underwood fans.
Underwood teamed up with stylist and close collaborator Emma Trask for the Las Vegas residency.
Trask and her styling team ended up creating 20 looks over the course of two months, all while the Blown Away star served as the sounding board throughout the whole process.
‘We wanted to combine the glitz and glamour of Vegas with the iconic style women of country have rocked for years,’ Trask told People in an interview last year
‘We really leaned into the whole Nash Vegas theme. All the feedback after every fitting was more rhinestones, more fringe and more bling!’
The celebrity stylist added, ‘I love working with Carrie ’cause she so creative, collaborative and she knows what she wants.’
