Cassandra Wood’s mother grills Nick Cummins on The Bachelor

‘At the end of the day one of them is going to get hurt and I hope it’s not Cass’: Cassandra Wood’s mother grills Nick Cummins on The Bachelor… and awkwardly asks if the pair are ‘soulmates’

Meeting the parents is also a little nerve-wracking for any couple.

And on The Bachelor Australia on Thursday night, former rugby star Nick Cummins was grilled by Cassandra Wood’s mother and family during hometown visits.

At one point, Cassandra’s mother asked Nick how keen he is on her girl, telling him:  ‘At the end of the day one of them is going to get hurt and I hope it’s not Cass’.

‘Cass has told me everything from when you guys dated before The Bachelor, everything,’ her mother began, as Cass cringed.

‘What The f**k mum,’ Cass said to camera, laughing.

Her mum added: ‘Have you made any decisions yet? I can ask, I’m the mum.’

‘At the end of the day one of them is going to get hurt and I hope it’s not Cass.’

Nick – who was on the spot – said he doesn’t want to break anyone’s heart.

‘Breaking anyone’s heart is one of the worst things you can do,’ he said.

He added: ‘It’s getting to the point now where you have to define whats best suited to me.’

Meanwhile, Cass’ mother asked Cass in a private chat if Nick is her ‘soulmate.’

Cass kept avoiding the question, before her mum revealed she had a wishboard where she mentioned Nick.

Cass was mortified and clarified that she wrote down that she wants to find her ‘soulmate.’
