Catherine Tyldesley was ecstatic to meet comedian Russell Brand as she shared a sweet snap with the star on Instagram on Friday.
The former Coronation Street star, 39, took to social media to share her thoughts on the encounter, posting pictures both on her Instagram stories and grid to express her delight.
Catherine beamed in the photo as she posed alongside Russell outdoors, and in the caption she wrote: ‘Had to lead with this pic of @russellbrand and I.

Her brunette locks were styled into a sleek bob and she wore a natural palette of make-up to highlight her stunning features.
Alongside the photo with Russell, Catherine also shared snaps of her busy week including an outing in the sun for which she wore a white dress that had a red floral pattern for a stylish look.
She complemented the ensemble by wearing a pair of stylish sunglasses, while she opted to forgo wearing any accessories.
The star also posed for several snaps in what appeared to be a make-up trailer for a new project.
Her encounter with Russell comes after the acclaimed actress shared an honest update about rediscovering her self-confidence after giving birth to her second child almost a year ago.

Catherine shares daughter Iris, 11 months, and son Alfie, seven, with her photographer husband Tom Pitfield, 35.
Catherine and Tom had a whirlwind romance, and after only four months of dating discovered they were expecting their son Alfie.
They went on to welcome their second child, daughter Iris, last April.
Speaking to Notebook magazine, the actress said that meeting Tom ‘was so, so out of the blue. I’m dead lucky. He ticks every box’.
Of their surprise pregnancy with Alfie, she admitted ‘it was a shock for us but we were both ready.’
‘The fact that I wasn’t nervous about telling him proved a point in my head that he was the right guy for me.’
