CBB: Ashley James’ parents ‘throw shade’ at Ginuwine

Celebrity Big Brother fans are convinced that Ashley James’ family were ‘hinting’ that she should ‘stay away’ from Ginuwine.

The Made In Chelsea star’s parents cryptically warned her not to let ‘let any person or wine’ distract her from ‘achieving your potential’, in her emotional letter from home on Wednesday.

And beady-eyed viewers insisted the 30-year-old’s loved ones were alluding to Ginuwine when they said ‘wine’. It comes as the rapper, 47, admitted in his post-eviction interview that a lot of their PDA was ‘for the cameras’.

The female housemates were all allowed to read their letters from home after winning a task earlier in the episode.

Ashley’s letter – read by Andrew Brady – began ‘Ash, you will never know how much we love you as we’re not the best at emotional stuff.

‘You scare the life out of us at times but we have been watching you over the last few days, and we are desperate for you to do well and show everyone how special you are.’

It continued: ‘Don’t let any person or wine distract you from achieving your potential.’

Ashley has been vocal in the past about wanting to refrain from a house romance to avoid disappointing her family watching at home.

When Andrew said the word ‘wine’ she interrupted him and asked ‘did they say wine?’ looking confused.

Fans flocked to Twitter to dissect the cryptic comment, with one writing: ‘Ashley’s letter was 100% meant to be a hint to stay away from genuwine.’

Another added: ‘When Ashley’s letter said wine, they meant Ginuwine idc. They were throwing shade. lol.’

A third fan penned: ‘Her face! She knew what it meant along with all the housemates and everyone watching at home.’

Hint? The letter read: 'Don't let any person or wine distract you from achieving your potential' causing an emotional Ashley to stop and ask if it said 'wine'

Earlier that episode – which was filmed before Ginuwine’s eviction on Tuesday night – Ashley admitted she would miss Malika Haqq or Andrew more if they left.

She confessed candidly to Malika: ‘If you leave or Andrew leaves it would be harder.’

Meanwhile, Pony hitmaker admitted that the pair, who regularly cuddled in the house and shared a kiss under the covers – put on some of their PDA for the viewers.

Speaking after his eviction, he told Metro: ‘A lot of times, we were doing that for the cameras and to tease everybody that was looking at us.

‘So no, nothing ever happened. I would never disrespect her, and she would never disrespect herself. It was all in fun.

‘We’d have a little peck here and a kiss there, but we were really doing it a lot of the time just to mess with everybody who was looking.’

His comments comes as a contrast to his gushing words in his post-exit interview with Emma Willis, during which he said the pair ‘really clicked’.

He said: ‘We’re definitely going to hook up when she comes over [to the US]. She’s a beautiful young lady. We really clicked. I think it was what it was on the show and I’m wanting to see what it will be after.’

‘It was definitely a genuine connection – no pun intended,’ he continued, before teasing: ‘I’m definitely going to talk to her after she gets out.’
