Celebrities are voicing their support to oust the president as Donald Trump’s impeachment probe began on Capitol Hill on Wednesday. 

Senior State Department official George Kent and top diplomat to Ukraine William B. Taylor Jr took the stand before lawmakers to detail how Trump may have violated international security interests.

Maria Shriver led the slew of comments, calling the hearing a ‘historic and serious’ day.

‘Today is a historic day, a serious day, and a day when we should all stop and think about what we want and should demand of our leaders and our country. #ImpeachmentInquiry #ImpeachmentHearing,’ she tweeted at the start of the hearing. 

She then commended the two for coming forward saying: ‘Both Taylor and Kent are serious and impressive. Their knowledge about history is a lesson in foreign service. Their allegiance to America is so apparent.’
