One of the truisms of being a celebrity is that, for better or for worse, you are always in the public eye.

While we all make mistakes, the constant scrutiny our stars of stage, screen and sporting field are put under make their falls from grace that much more magnified.

From traversing the red carpet to pleading their cases in court, it’s been a tumultuous year for some of Australia’s favourite celebrities.

The fresh charges came two months after Vince was fined $1,000 for possessing ice while driving in North Fitzroy, where police found a small amount of ice inside a sunglasses case.

Vince’s case has been adjourned for a contest mention in November.

Former Home And Away star Beau Brady was lucky to escape jail time when he walked away with a good behaviour bond after he was caught with a bag of cocaine in a swanky Sydney Bar.

The Daily Telegraph reported the 35-year-old was sitting with a friend at the Jam Gallery Bar at Bondi Junction when he saw police enter the premises with a drug detection dog, according to court documents. 

Brady was then approached by police when he tried to leave the bar. When asked by police if he had drugs on him he replied: ‘possibly’.  He pleaded guilty to drug possession and was given a section 10 bond – meaning the offence was proved but no conviction will was recorded.

 Lauren has denied the allegation, recently telling the Today show the positive result was due to medication she was taking for ADHD.

‘Her prescription medications have brought about the positive result,’ Lauren’s lawyer Adam Houda said in a tweet. 

Lauren is expected to appear at Sutherland Local Court on September 26.

Former Australian Idol and Bodyguard star Paulini  Curuenavuli fell foul of the law in July when it was alleged that she bribed a government official to obtain a driver’s licence.

Police alleged Paulini entered Mt Druitt Roads and Maritime Services offices in July 2016 and lied on a form claiming she had a US driver’s licence. 

She allegedly posed for a photograph and was handed an unrestricted NSW driver’s licence.

It is then alleged she put $800 into the account of 27-year-old Faletausala Vaifale.

The matter has been adjourned to September 4, when it is expected a plea will be entered.

It’s also been a bumpy 2017 for MasterChef star George Calombrais who was charged with common assault in May after assaulting a 19-year-old man at the A-League soccer grand final.

 The charge came after George was captured on video shoving the man in the chest, moments after Melbourne Victory lost the match to Sydney FC in a penalty shoot-out.

George entered a guilty plea, via his barrister Brendan Green, in Sydney’s Downing Centre Court earlier this month and the case has been adjourned for sentence on September 8.

Bachelor star Georgia Tripos was also charged, in March with allegedly trafficking cocaine and ice online on Craigslist.

 9News reported Georgia was charged with trafficking amphetamine and cocaine, allegedly running a drug syndicate with Kristiana Karakostas.

The friends, who were arrested at a Melbourne real estate agency they both worked at, are accused of selling the drugs online via website Craigslist. 

 Appearing in court in July, the Herald Sun reported the pair ad their bail varied to allow them to report to police one day a week, down from two and they were both ordered to stay off the internet and to each only use one mobile phone.

 They were ordered to reappear in court in October.
