But now Jermaine Pennant has suggested the reason that he cheats is that he’s never had his mum around.

Following their first session with dating experts Paul Carrick Brunson and Anna Williams, the couple were then split up and counselled individually.
Joining Anna, Jermaine’s wife Alice, 33, addressed his CBB scandal which saw him suggest to Chloe that he was single.
Jermaine – who wed Alice in 2014 – failed to mention he was married when he flirted with 22-year-old model Chloe on CBB last year.
Jermaine and Alice confronted their trust issues in a special episode of The Jeremy Kyle Show back in October.

The star raised eyebrows when he and Chloe were seen planting kisses on one another and writing affectionate letters, but he said he had done nothing wrong.
Jermaine also denied that anything had happened between him and kidnap victim Chloe, or that he had cheated, but did admit he had texted other women to ‘get his fix.’
Speaking about the backlash that ensued following her husband’s Celebrity Big Brother appearance, Alice said: ‘I think it was blown out of all proportion’, before asking Anna: ‘Do you think it was acceptable?’
Anna replied: ‘In an answer? No I don’t think it’s acceptable.’

Meanwhile, Jermaine joined Paul where he confessed to cheating on most of the partners he’s had and blamed his lack of mother figure in his life.
‘The majority of the girlfriends I had I have had I haven’t been faithful’, he said. ‘I don’t know if that is because I’m acting like a bad boy or because I never had a mum around.’
Pushing the issue further, Paul asked: ‘So where was your mother?’
Jermaine continued: ‘She just wasn’t in my life. When you’ve got a mother that bond is there, the way you love her people then take that into their relationships with a girl, they look at that woman and look at their mum. I’ve never had that.

‘We did break up for a period and it was dark, it was a lonely place. For some reason we always find our way back.’
In another room, Alice suggested that the rockiness of their relationship is the reason the couple have not had children yet.
‘We’ve been married five years and we haven’t progressed in the way a normal marriage with progress, we should have three children running round the house,’ she said.
Anna then asked: ‘Does Jermaine know this?’

‘We do think in a very different way, this communication thing is the biggest thing because when he doesn’t deal with his emotions in the right way he’ll go out on a bender for the night and not come home. I’ll call his phone and be like, “where the f**k are you?”.’
When asked if this happened regularly, she said: ‘Alice: When things get bad it does happen. Because the communication techniques are so different it just doesn’t work.’
