Chad Michael Murray takes on Chris Hemsworth’s viral arrow challenge – but raises the stakes by using an American football instead

Chad Michael Murray had a hilarious response to Chris Hemsworth after the Thor star shared a video of his son shooting a bottle off his head with a rubber arrow.

The One Tree Hill star, 40, shared a clip on Instagram on Sunday of his five-year-old son trying to pull off the same feat, but using an American football instead.

‘I see your son’s arrow, Chris, and raise you one American football (possibly miniature),’ Chad captioned the video.

‘Because using a full-size football would be just dumb/painful and I do enough dumb stuff on my own. May or not be first try. I would be so lucky if it was…’ he added.

In the clip, his son managed to knock the water bottle off his head with the football, much to Chad’s surprise.

He then cheered and gave his boy a high-five in celebration.

Chris, 38, made headlines last week when he shared a video of one of his twin sons, seven, shooting a rubber arrow and knocking a bottle of water off his head.

‘Don’t try this at home. Took 63 shots in the back of the head before nailing it,’ he wrote. ‘Worth it. This stunt was performed by a couple lunatics with complete disregard for their own safety,’ he captioned the clip.

‘Don’t worry, it was a rubber arrow.’
