Chad Michael Murray to return to television as he joins cast of Fox’s Star
Chad Michael Murray has signed on to join the season three cast of Fox’s hit show Star.
According to Deadline, the 37-year-old actor will have a heavily recurring role in the upcoming episodes.
The Walk to Remember alum will reportedly play Xander McPherson, an ‘opportunistic real estate investor who is involved in a toxic relationship with Cassie Brown.’

While Xander plays white collar, he learned his hustle on the street and knows how to use his charm and power to get what he wants.
Star is co-created by Lee Daniels and Tom Donaghy.
It follows three talented singers – running from their pasts and desperate for a new start – with ambitions of stardom, as they navigate the cutthroat music business.

The large A-list cast includes Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Michael Michele, Stephen Dorff and Luke James.
Star’s new season debuts on September 26th at 9pm.
Chad was formally involved in another music drama, CMT’s short-lived Sun Records.
