Champions League draw guide: Liverpool, Tottenham and the Manchester giants to learn their knockout fate

After a gripping weekend of Premier League football, attention turns back to continental affairs for one last time in 2018 for the Champions League last-16 draw.

Manchester City were the only English side to finish top of their group with Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United being runner-ups to PSG, Barcelona and Juventus respectively. 

The winners of each of the eight Champions League groups are seeded while the runner-ups are unseeded. The eight seeded teams are drawn against the unseeded teams that are not from the same group or country.

When is it?

The Champions League last-16 draw will take place on Monday 17th December at UEFA’s HQ in Nyon, Switzerland. 

What time is it?

The draw will commence at 11am (GMT) followed by Europa League draw at 12pm (GMT).

How can I watch?

You can watch the last-16 draw on BT Sport 2 with coverage starting from 10:45am (GMT) and finishing 12pm (GMT). Europa League draw will follow on BT Sport 2.

When will Champions League last-16 games start?

 The Round of 16 first leg matches will take place on February 12th, 13th, 19th and 20th, while the second leg ties will be played on March 5th, 6th, 12th and 13th.
