Channel 10 host Lisa Wilkinson deletes tweets about Nine’s Married At First Sight after inadvertently admitting she doesn’t watch her own network

The Project host Lisa Wilkinson has landed herself in hot water with Network 10 after live tweeting an episode of Married At First Sight earlier this week.

Wilkinson, 61, posted a series of tweets about the top-rating Nine show on Monday and then deleted them without explanation, according to the TV Tonight newsletter.

She may have been told to delete the Twitter posts because 10’s clip show What the Hell Happens Next? was airing on the same night in the same time slot.

Whoops! The Project host Lisa Wilkinson has landed herself in hot water with Network 10 after live tweeting an episode of Married At First Sight earlier this week

By tweeting about MAFS, Wilkinson was effectively telling her 260,000 followers she wasn’t interested in her own network’s programming.

This is despite the fact she is reportedly paid a seven-figure salary to host Channel 10’s nightly current affairs show The Project.

While Wilkinson’s posts about MAFS have been deleted, you can still tell she tweeted about the show because the replies remain visible.

She previously hosted Nine’s Today show from 2007 to 2017, when she quit because network bosses wouldn’t pay her the same salary as her co-host Karl Stefanovic.

Wilkinson then signed with 10 and began hosting The Project in 2018.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted 10 for comment but it yet to receive a response.
