Chantelle also went on say that she was deeply offended when people stop the couple in the street to tell her she’s ‘brave’ for being in a relationship with someone who has a disability.
‘I just think that people coming up and saying that to me while my beautiful boyfriend is sitting next to me in his chair. It just breaks my heart.
‘I think that it’s very scary for some people to view those with a disability as an erotic being, because it is too challenging for them to think outside the box,’ she added.
And indeed it seems both Chantelle and Dylan think outside the box.
Think outside the box: ‘I think that it’s very scary for some people to view those with a disability as an erotic being, because it is too challenging for them to think outside the box,’ she said
Earlier this year, the athlete revealed that he and Chantelle have a very fulfilling sex life in a candid interview with Good Weekend.
‘My partner Chantelle is a sexologist – a doctor of sex – so I’ve definitely lucked out in that department,’ the 30-year-old said at the time.
He also discussed the first time they had sex and noted that he was very nervous.
‘I thought, ‘You’re doing it with the best!’ But we’re both sex-positive. It’s important to me to talk about it,’ the athlete said.

Dylan also shared the one thing he wished he had known about sex when he was younger.
He recalled that growing up there was no information about sex for people with disabilities online, adding that watching pornography only added to his insecurities.
‘But one thing I’ve learnt is that people can have sex in any way. And obviously, I must be doing something right if I’ve managed to lock down someone like Chantelle,’ he added.
Dylan’s ‘sex-positive’ discussion about intimacy comes after Chantelle recently shared a very graphic sex confession about the first time they ever slept together.
Learnings: ‘One thing I’ve learnt is that people can have sex in any way. And obviously, I must be doing something right if I’ve managed to lock down someone like Chantelle,’ he added
Earlier this year, while listening to a podcast about a woman who was ‘so relaxed’ mid-sex she she passed wind, Chantelle revealed a very similar incident happened to her at the start of her relationship.
In her live Q&A on Instagram she confessed: ‘The first time I slept with Dyl, he was spooning me and I popped on him.’
A confused later fan responded: ‘Popped? You don’t mean pooped, do ya?!’
She hilariously replied: ‘Haha, I farted,’ followed by a crying with laughter emoji.
