Thomas Tuchel’s side trained away from their usual Cobham training base ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Leicester City.

Chelsea are looking to bounce back from their shock 3-0 defeat by Leeds.

Tuchel will be pleased to have Kovacic back after revealing how medical staff had delayed his return to training.

‘Has issues with his knee, always a little bit of a reaction,’ Tuchel said earlier this month.

‘We decided to take a step back and increase treatment time to reduce the stress that comes from training to have a normal reaction before we start again.’

Several players were missing from the open training session, according to sportbible.com

Armando Broja and N’Golo Kante were missing due to injury, while Callum Hudson-Odoi was also absent amid doubts about his future.

Emerson Palmieri was reportedly undergoing a medical ahead of a £15million switch to West Ham.
