Chelsea resident lifts 22ft Christmas tree onto balcony

A resident on a wealthy London street where homes sell for millions of pounds has installed a giant 22ft Christmas tree on the front of their house.

As the festive season gets into full swing, a huge crane was brought in to the exclusive road in Chelsea, west London, to lift the oversized tree onto the balcony.

It was kitted out with fairy lights and stood out like a sore thumb next to the row of clean white houses.

The street is home to the super-rich and celebrities and several Range Rovers and a Rolls Royce were parked outside.

Just a few doors down another house, which was decked out in red decorations, also had a tree on the balcony, albeit a smaller one.

The giant tree was pictured dangling from the crane on Tuesday and it took several workers to make sure it was put into place safely.

It is unknown who lives at the house.
