Cheryl flaunts her svelte figure in a glamorous satin gown

She’s been gradually making her return to the limelight since welcoming baby Bear with Liam Payne last year.

Yet Cheryl proved she was back with a bang as she joined The Prince of Wales and a host of stars for a glittering gala in aid of The Prince’s Trust at St. James’s Palace on Thursday night.

Showing off her svelte figure, the 34-year-old singer dazzled in a black satin gown that was floor length in design but featured a scooping neckline.

Sheathing her lithe physique, the glamorous gown skimmed over the contours of her frame, whilst the plunging neckline offered a glimpse at cleavage.

Keeping her accessories simple to complement the stylish garment, Cheryl wore a dainty choker necklace and myriad of silver rings.

Framing her pretty features, her long raven-hued locks were worn sleek and poker straight, tossed behind one shoulder.

Cheryl wasn’t the only big name in attendance with the likes of Sire Tom Jones and Dame Helen Mirren also at the Invest in Futures reception held in aid of The Prince’s Trust.

Also on the guestlist was British model Neelam Gill, and a host of young people who have benefited from the All Worth It programme, and supporters of the Trust.

It was no wonder Cheryl was at the bash as she is renowned for her charity work.

Cheryl’s Trust was founded by the former Girls Aloud star in 2016 to help transform the lives of young people living in the North East of England.

The foundation, partnered with the Prince’s Trust, is in the midst of building a state-of-the-art youth centre in Newcastle which will help the region’s most at-risk young people, including those facing drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness, mental health problems and those leaving care.

The Prince’s Trust has funded well over an estimated 500,000 projects and programmes involving young people in the past 40 years.

Meanwhile, Cheryl is gearing up to make her long-awaited musical comeback in the coming months.

Producer Naughty Boy recently revealed that he was working with the pop superstar on an upcoming project.

And Cheryl’s pal Nicola Roberts, 32, shared a fun-filled selfie of herself with the Fight This Love songstress and 33-year-old producer in the studio on Wednesday.

Cheryl is also reportedly in ‘final talks’ for a return to the judging panel for The X Factor 2018, replacing Nicole Scherzinger.

A source told The Sun that producers are only waiting to begin official contract negotiations with the singer while they made arrangements for the coming series’ schedule.

Cheryl has reportedly been in talks to return to the show for some time, as bosses plan to make drastic changes to the new series in a bid to boost popularity.

The source said: ‘Cheryl is the top choice and she is keen to come on board.

‘It is very likely there will be changes in that department from last year, as it is widely felt that last year’s series wasn’t ideally placed to optimise ratings. It would be a huge shock if it didn’t happen.’

Cheryl, whose boyfriend Liam described as a ‘natural mum’ took a step out of the limelight after welcoming her first child in March 2017, and revealed that she didn’t have a second to herself for the first three months after Bear’s birth.

‘It’s just me, Liam and the baby rocking around 24/7, so you don’t have one second to yourself really, especially not in that first three months,’ the Fight For The Love singer told Vogue.

‘They’re so precious. So when someone said “go for an hour”, I was like: hallelujah! I think that should be a gift to any new mother.’
