Cheryl Maitland pays tribute to the late Hugh Hefner

The founder of Playboy, Hugh Hefner, passed away aged 91 on Wednesday.

And in the wake of the multimillionaire’s death, Married At First Sight’s Cheryl Maitland paid her respects to the iconic publisher via her Instagram Story.

The busty 26-year-old, who had partied at the Playboy mansion in past, posted a snap of herself outside the infamous abode along with the caption ‘RIP – Hugh’.

Taking to her Instagram Story on Thursday, Cheryl shared a throwback snap of herself and a brunette pal frolicking in the front garden of Hefner’s Beverly Hills home. 

Cheryl captioned the image with the text ‘RIP – Hugh’ alongside a bunny emoji. 

The reality star later posted a screen grab from Playboy’s Instagram account that featured a quote by Hugh himself: ‘Life is too short to be living somebody else’s dream.’

Cheryl, who starred on controversial reality series Married At First Sight this year, partied at the Playboy mansion a few years ago.

Daily Mail Australia revealed in January that the curvaceous personality attended at least two parties at the infamous location.

Cheryl first visited the mansion in 2011 at age 20, with sister Sarah-Jane.

Sarah-Jane had attended a Playboy party in Australia of which the event organisers suggested they head to Los Angeles together.   

‘He thought we would have a better chance if we went as sisters,’ Cheryl told the newspaper. [A better chance] just to get noticed.’

The Channel Seven star also revealed that the stories about the Playboy mansion are true. 

‘Probably worse [than what you’ve heard]. [The nights were] just crazy, just a whole other world. It’s the Playboy Mansion.’
