‘The day floats away when you’re a mum’: Cheryl reveals exercise is ‘no longer her priority’ as she has no free time since welcoming son Bear, 4

She used to swear by her ‘extreme’ exercise method that saw her work out five times a week in sweltering heat and left her feeling like she was ‘dying’.

Yet Cheryl has revealed that she no longer pushes her body to the limits at the gym as she simply doesn’t have the time.

Speaking with Women’s Health magazine, the singer, 38, explained that between doing the housework and caring for son Bear, four, she has had to calm down her fitness regime.

Cheryl – who shares Bear with ex Liam Payne – explained: ‘Exercise isn’t top of my priority list at the moment, I haven’t done anything regularly for over a year.

‘I recently bought a Peloton spin bike and I’ve used it a few times and I enjoy it, especially with the music. But when you’re a mum, the day floats away, so I don’t get to use it that often.

‘After dropping Bear off at nursery, I do my work calls and housework, and then it’s time to pick him up!’

As well as her exercise regime shifting, Cheryl revealed her entire perspective on life had changed since becoming a mother.

She explained: ‘My approach to life and the world changed when I became a mother to Bear.

‘I have a completely different perspective now that I’m responsible for another human. I care less about silly stuff and more about the important things in life, like Bear’s health and happiness.’

‘She’s not in any mindset to think about performing so she’s taking a little break to prioritise her wellbeing.’
