Chilling surveillance footage of rapper XXXTentacion’s brutal murder was played publicly for the first time this week.
The video was played at the Broward County court hearing for suspect Robert Allen, one of four suspects charged with the June murder of the rapper.
It shows Tentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, walking into Riva Motorsports motorcycle dealership in Pompano Beach, Florida, and talking with a member of staff.
Two minutes later he was followed in by two of the gunmen who went to the parts department, bought masks then exited the store.
Once they were back in the parking lot, they moved their car to the north gate of the parking lot, blocking the exit.
When the rapper finally emerged at 3.55pm on June 18, he got into his $150,000 SUV BMW.
The footage shows him being ambushed by two men as he tried to turn out of the parking lot.
Footage showed that rapper XXXTentacion was followed into Riva Motorcycle Sports (where he is pictured during another visit before his death) then his attackers waited for him in the parking lot before shooting him dead as he tried to leave
The men followed the rapper into the store, bought masks then went back into their SUV to wait for him. When he eventually came out after 20 minutes inside, he attempted to leave the parking lot in his BMW but they blocked him, got out and shot him dead. The BMW is pictured (above). Before fleeing, the gunmen reached into his car and stole a Louis Vuitton bag
Both were wearing masks and carrying guns; one a handgun and one a longer barrel gun. Police say they tried to grab his chain, a scuffle ensued, and Tentacion was fatally shot at point blank range.
The men reportedly then reached into his car to steal a Louis Vuitton bag stuffed with $50,000 in cash.
The footage was shown for the first time at Allen’s bail hearing. His defense lawyers argued that he should be granted bail because he never got out of the getaway vehicle. But the judge denied the request.
Dedrick Williams, 22, has been charged with premeditated murder. He is one of four suspects
Michael Boatwright and Trayvon Newsome are also in custody on suspicion of being the two gunmen.
A fourth suspect, Dedrick Williams, is also being held without bond.
The rapper’s family have said from the beginning that they do not believe he was randomly killed.
It has also been claimed that he ‘knew he had enemies’ and had become fearful about leaving the house.
Some close to him say he was warned to increase his security team in the weeks before his death.
XXXTentacion’s lawyer said he was planning on buying a motorcycle and had been to the bank before he went into the store
