Chip and Joanna Gaines unveil new docuseries about touring husband-and-wife folk duo as they announce Magnolia network’s first TV show
Get ready to go on a tour across America on Chip and Joanna Gaines’ new television network.
The couple have announced Magnolia network’s first TV series, a docuseries set to focus on the lives of touring husband and wife folk duo Johnnyswim.
Home On The Road will follow Abner Ramirez, his wife Amanda Sudano, and their two children, Joaquin and Luna, travelling across the country from show to show.

‘Amanda and Abner are magnetic,’ Chip and Joanna said in a press release. ‘Ever since we met them a little over five years ago, we’ve been drawn to the way they navigate family, community, and life on the road.
‘They’re not just musicians, they’re storytellers and together, they are a true picture of the relentless pursuit of following a dream and making it a reality; but their dream doesn’t stop with them – it’s extended to their family and fans and everyone they meet.’
In a statement, the folk duo explained how they’ve managed to make life on the road feel like home.
‘When you’re on the road as much as we are, time spent at home starts to feel a lot like vacation,’ Abner and Amanda explained in a statement.

‘We decided early on that we want to spend as much time together as possible…so when we go on tour, we all go on tour.
‘We’d be lying if we said the idea of traveling the country with your bandmates, a 4-year-old and a 12-month-old wasn’t a little bit scary, but it’s all we know. No matter what, we’re going to make home on the road.’
The six episode series is slated to begin airing October 2020.

Johnnyswim clearly have a close place in the Gaines’ heart, having performed at the couple’s Silobration in Waco, Texas.
Chip and Joanna announced earlier this year they would be launching Magnolia network in summer 2020.
The channel is a joint venture network between Magnolia and Discovery Inc., and is set to replace Discovery’s DIY Network.
The network will focus on community, home, garden, food, wellness, entrepreneurialism, and design.
