Chris Hemsworth appeared in high spirits as he arrived at a bushfire charity event on Thursday evening.

The Thor actor, 36, was seen smiling with guests as he rocked up to the Make It Rain: Fund the Firies 2020 fundraiser alongside his brother Liam at the Beach Hotel in Byron Bay.

Chris – who is auctioning off an personal training session with his wife Elsa Pataky at the charitable gig – cut a casual figure as he spoke to attendees at the event, sporting an off-white T-shirt and black jeans for the occasion.

The father-of-three accessorised with some bracelets and a huge ring on his finger, and carried a gold reusable bottle in his hands.

His brother Liam, 29, looked equally as cool in a crisp white T-shirt and a pair of jeans, and was seen just a few steps behind the former Home and Away star. 

So far, Chris and Elsa’s training session has reached a whopping $25,500 on the online auction – with the lucky buyer winning the opportunity to lunge, squat and stretch with the fitness fanatics for an hour in private.

Bidding closes on Friday 17 January at 11.55pm.

Other items being auctioned off include a guitar signed by the members of Powderfinger, and a tennis lesson or game with Pat Rafter.

Fans can also bid on a surfing session with professional surfers Mick Fanning and Joel Parkinson, a cooking class with chefs Shannon Bennett and Manu Fieldel, and a songwriting and recording session with Bernard Fanning.

Chris himself has always been incredibly vocal about wanting to help the bushfire victims in any way he can, with himself and his family donating $1million to the cause just last week. 

The Make It Rain event – which took place both Wednesday and Thursday evening – also played host to many familiar faces, with some performing live on the night.

Celeste Barber, Simon Baker and Bernard Fanning were some of the many charitable Aussie stars participating.

‘A handful of your favourite Australian artists are inviting you to join them for two nights of entertainment in the heart of picturesque Byron Bay to raise money for the NSW RFS Northern Rivers and Far North Coast Brigades,’ read the description on the fundraiser’s website.

A $49 donation secured fans entry for one night, while $89 granted them admission for both nights, with all tickets selling out.

Fans were also given the option of making an additional $10 donation to the NSW Rural Fire Service at the checkout.

Comedian Celeste Barber acted as MC at the 18-and-over event, after raising over a staggering $47million on her Facebook bushfires fundraiser.

Wednesday’s event saw musical acts Wolfmother, Arc, Jackson Carroll and Monica Frances all take to the stage.

Meanwhile, Thursday’s lineup featured Bernard Fanning, T’N’T, Tim Rogers, Tex Perkins & the Loose Rubber Band, and Jimmy Willing & The Real Gone Hick-Ups feat. The Buffalo Gals.
