Chris Eubank’s £160,000 Bentley might not be insured as ‘1 KO’ number plate is not registered

Boxing legend Chris Eubank’s souped-up £160,000 Bentley might not be insured as personalised ‘1 KO’ number plate is not registered with DVLA

  • Chris Eubank’s license plate may mean his £160k Bentley’s insurance isn’t valid
  • The former pro-boxer’s license plate number reads ‘1 KO’ but it is not registered
  • Last week, Mr Eubank appeared to place his own parking ticket on the windshield of the custom Bentley

Former pro-boxer Chris Eubank has an unregistered license plate that may mean his £160,000 Bentley is not insured.

The middleweight’s car has a registration number ‘1 KO’ a reference to the 23 fights we won by knock out during his boxing career.

But the green, black and white Continental GT with that plate has not been registered with the DVLA, meaning his insurance could be void.

The licensing body’s website says ‘vehicle details could not be found as it has not been possible to locate the vehicle details’ when entering the registration.

Motoring lawyer Nick Freeman told the Sun that this may void Mr Eubank’s insurance, which could ‘mean six to eight points on his licence and a discretionary ban’ or even prison if he ended up in a serious accident.

A DVLA spokesman said new plates on cars must be registered with them before being driven in public.

It takes a maximum of five days for them to appear on its website.

Last week, the boxing legend appeared to place his own parking ticket on the windshield of the custom Bentley, during a shopping trip on London’s Savile Row.

The former boxer, 52, parked the customised car on swanky Savile Row, and the move was reportedly an apparent effort to deter parking wardens from giving him a new ticket.
