A development application for alterations and additions to the property was lodged to Byron Shire Council on 2 November 2016, according to the publication.
Plans for the work outlined the demolition of the existing house and structures, and the building of a new swimming pool.
In its former state, the house – which was spread over 4.2 hectares – had eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.
