Chris Hemsworth launches Android app for Centr program

Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth’s health and fitness program Centr is officially available for download on Android devices.

Centr launched its highly-anticipated Android app in the Google Play Store on Monday – 10 months after its launch on iOS,

To celebrate the launch, Chris, 36, is offering ‘an exclusive, first-of-its-kind workout’ in-app for new users.

After campaigning for a compatible Centr version since it launched in February, Android users will no doubt be thrilled by the announcement.

More than 100,000 people signed up to Centr in its first week of business in February, and since then the iOS version has recorded 1.4 million downloads.

With an estimated 2 billion active users on Google Play, Centr is expected to be a massive hit among Android users.

‘Centr on Android will deliver the same world-class, fully-customizable health and fitness experience, now optimized in a native app. Wherever members are in the world, accessing daily workouts, meal plans and meditations from Chris’ team will be easier than ever,’ a statement said.

It continued: ‘To kick off the all-new Centr Android experience, all members will have access to a first-of-its-kind bonus workout featuring Chris Hemsworth in-app on launch day, December 16.’

The app includes meal plans, daily workouts, meditations and access to a 24/7 community offering support, tips and exclusive bonus content.

Centr is built to be customised to meet any goal and suit any fitness level, dietary preference, or lifestyle.

The Biggest Loser’s Tiffiny Hall, MasterChef’s Dan Churchill, Hollywood stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton and vegan bodybuilder Torre Washington are also featured.
