‘A side effect of frequent air travel is dehydrated ears’: Chris Hemsworth shares bizarre airplane hack involving moisturiser and a pair of headphones
As one of the world’s most popular actors, Chris Hemsworth is no stranger to the perils of long-haul flights.
And on Friday, the globetrotting star took to Instagram with a tongue-in-cheek video demonstrating how he keeps his ears ‘hydrated’ during air travel.
The clip shows Chris sitting inside an airplane next to his personal assistant Aaron Grist and fitness trainer Luke Zocchi, who were trying to encourage the star to wear a pair of headphones smothered in moisturiser.
‘Put a bit of moisturiser on here… rub it in,’ said Adam with a cheeky smile as he rubbed the product on the inside of Chris’ large headphones.
‘Now put them together so you can’t see it’, Luke added, as Aaron carefully squished the two moisturiser-covered earphones together.
Apparently not realising that Aaron and Luke were actually pulling his leg, Chris carefully placed the headphones onto his ears and started listening to audio coing from the television in front of him.

Aaron and Luke couldn’t hold in their laughter as they noticed rogue smears of white cream on Chris’ cheek.
Finally realising he’d been pranked, Chris ripped off the headphones and declared, ‘Oh, f**king hell!’
Chris uploaded the hilarious clip alongside a typically self-deprecating caption which read: One of the most common side effects of frequent air travel is dehydrated ears.’

‘Thanks @azzagrist @zocobodypro for always having my back…. and my ears,’ he added.
Aaron and Luke are long-time friends of Chris, having attended the same primary school as children.
Speaking to Stuff.co.nz last year, Chris said of his friends-turned-assistants: ‘They’re a couple of mates of mine from school.’
‘We went to Heathmont College and Ringwood Primary School, played football together and now we travel the world together. It’s a pretty cool thing,’ he added.
