Chris Hughes hints at split from Olivia Attwood again

She was allegedly caught sending messages to her ex-boyfriends last week, despite her romance with the hunk.

But Chris Hughes only added fuel to the fire of rumours on Thursday, by hinting he has split from Olivia Attwood with a cryptic Instagram snap.

The Love Island star, 25, shared a shirtless snap of himself stroking his dog in the garden – but wrote in the caption: ‘The closest people eventually let you down.’

Despite the reported drama, Chris beamed widely in the sweet snap as he spent some time with his beloved border collie.

However, he accompanied the image with the cryptic caption: ‘The closest people eventually let you down. These animals don’t. My Polar Bear equivalent.’

Hinting he and Olivia had broken up with the comment, Chris later edited the caption so it instead read: ‘She won’t let me down. My Polar Bear equivalent’.

Fans took to the comments to speculate whether the pair’s relationship had come to an end, with one writing: ‘Guessing your talking about Olivia? She was never good enough for you. She is an up herself brat xx’

And: ‘Aww such sad words…hope you’re alright..you seem like such a decent genuine person so you above all people do not deserve any sadness xxx hugs :'(‘

The post comes after it was claimed Olivia had been messaging her ex-boyfriends behind Chris’ back.

The Love Island starlet has allegedly been in contact with Bradley Dack and ‘Muggy’ Mike Thalassitis, with The Sun Online detailing their now-deleted exchanges, and claiming that Chris is ‘furious’ about the messages.

The first incident came on Wednesday night as Olivia responded to a picture of her ex Bradley wearing a yellow top on the Blackburn Rovers Twitter account.

She wrote ‘yellow suits you’, ‘hey’ and ‘fatty’ under the image, before later deleting her tweets.

Before she had the chance, however, The Sun reports that Olivia replied to the messages saying ‘interesting’, shortly before removing his own messages.

On the same evening she reached out to Bradley, Olivia is also said to have tweeted Chris’ love rival, Mike, addressing him without explanation by saying: ‘And don’t be a massive p***k’.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Chris is obviously gutted and a bit embarrassed by the tweets as he adores Olivia’.

MailOnline has contacted Chis and Olivia’s representatives for comment.

Mike and Olivia first became involved during Love Island, with the stars being caught in a love triangle until ultimately Chris won over her affections.

Meanwhile, Olivia dated Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bradley for four months prior to her appearance on Love Island, with the pair supposedly ‘serious’ and ‘really into each other’.

In August last year, Olivia was pictured kissing the neck of her ex, Bradley outside Faces nightclub in Essex, but the pair brushed off the controversy with Chris and Olivia claiming to be stronger than ever.

The latest scandal comes as Chris and Olivia professed their love to one another.

The couple moved in together over Christmas, and with things firmly on track, they are now discussing their plans for the future.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, they admitted they would consider getting married in the famous Mallorca villa where they found love – and joked that co-stars Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies could be flower girl and page boy.

Chris recently hit back at claims that the pair’s romance is fake, adding that while they ‘push each other’s buttons’ their love is unconditional.

‘We wouldn’t argue all the time if it wasn’t real because you just wouldn’t go to that level of emotion,’ he began. ‘We wind each other up, we push each other’s buttons.

‘We kind of ignore it, everyone thought when we came out of Love Island that it was fake then but we’ve proved a lot of people wrong. We’re seven months into our relationship now.
