Chris Rock sparks plastic surgery speculation after SNL hosting gig

Chris Rock returned to Saturday Night Live as a host for the fourth time, and had a lot to say about current affairs including President-elect Donald Trump, liberals, and more.

However, many viewers were were focused on something a little closer to home – the funny man’s physical appearance.

Many speculated the Emmy winner had undergone plastic surgery.

‘What did Chris Rock do to his face?’ asked one viewer, sharing a screen shot of the 59-year-old actor from his opening monologue on X/Twitter.

‘Chris Rock’s plastic surgeon needs their license revoked,’ stated a viewer.

‘Look… I’m not afraid to ask the DIFFICULT questions… What is going on with Chris Rock’s face???’ another queried, following up with, ‘He’s got more filler in his face that a pallet of twinkies.’

That particular thread generated quite a lot of conversation about Rock’s face, with one speculating on the types of procedures the star could have undergone and another stating the star was merely approaching his 60th birthday.

‘And an eye lift it seems,’ one wrote, adding, ‘Facelift and cheek implants.’

‘Chris Rock will be 60 years old in February,’ another user pointed out. ‘He just look a little older now.’

‘Look, I’m not an expert, but that would mean he’s aging differently than every human in the history of humans being alive,’ the original poster persisted.

Perhaps it was the stage lighting that caused the viewer comments. The host did not look much different when he appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday than he did a year ago when he was spotted walking in New York City.

The Grammy winner once joked about having a little nip and tuck back in 2018 when he was promoting his film The Week Of with pal Adam Sandler.

‘I had a lot of plastic surgery,’ the actor quipped when asked by Extra how he had changed since his and Sandler’s 2005 movie The Longest Yard.  ‘Got my ears worked on. These are the some of the tightest ears in the business,’ he joked.

Sandler, 58,  put in a cameo appearance in a skit Saturday night as a patient who woke up during an operation being performed by Rock’s character.

Rock has teamed up with SNL alum Leslie Jones for the upcoming I Am Maurice.

The drama focuses on a Haitian immigrant who comes to America after the earthquake of 2010 to fulfill his dream of being a boxer.

Weekend Update anchor Michael Che is producing the film, along with Damon Wayans Jr and Hasan Minhaj.

Rock, who is known for his adult humor, made headlines when he cut his performance short at an Australian billionaire’s holiday party last week.

The Selective Outrage star’s appearance was a surprise for the audience, who were also being entertained by comedian Wali Collins and country singer Keith Urban.

‘Chris did leave the stage that night,’ an insider told DailyMail.com. ‘His routine was not suitable for children.

‘Coupled with the fact that people were filming when it was agreed that it would not be recorded led to his decision to end the performance.’

They continued: ‘But he did not storm out nor did he disrespect anyone. He simply decided to end this because it was not the content he believed children should be exposed to.’
