Chris Young has been cleared of all charges following his arrest at a Nashville bar on Monday after being booked for allegedly confronting alcohol enforcement.
The country star, 38, had been taken into custody and charged for disorderly conduct, assaulting an officer and resisting arrest after allegedly ‘striking’ an officer.
However, a statement was released by Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk on Friday – just one day after security footage showed Young being shoved by a cop before the arrest, contradicting the officer’s version of events.
Funk stated, per People, ‘Regarding the Chris Young incident – After a review of all the evidence in this case, the Office of the District Attorney has determined that these charges will be dismissed.’
The singer’s attorney, Bill Ramsey, also released a statement, expressing, ‘Mr. Young and I are gratified with the DA’s decision clearing him of the charges and any wrong-doing.’

Chris being cleared of all charges comes shortly after security footage showed he has been aggressively shoved by an officer in the Nashville bar altercation which saw him get arrested – apparently contradicting the cop’s version of events.
The country star is jabbed so violently by the special agent that he tumbles backwards over a bar stool at the DawgHouse Saloon in the video, which is shown from three angles.
Law enforcement said four agents from the Alcoholic Beverage Commission were checking another bar, Tin Roof, when they first encountered the singer, who then followed them to DawgHouse before assaulting one of them.
But the surveillance video appears to tell a different story, prompting Young’s lawyer Bill Ramsey to demand an apology and that the charges be dropped.
