Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber seen for first time since Rande’s interaction with Pete Davidson

Cindy Crawford and daughter Kaia Gerber appeared tense as they touched down at LAX Saturday morning from New York.

The duo, both donning darkly-tinted sunglasses, braved the busy terminal in Los Angeles as they waited for a ride out of the airport. 

This was their first appearance since the 58-year-old supermodel and her husband, Rande Gerber, were seen outside their 18-year-old daughter’s NYC apartment having an intense one-on-one about Kaia’s troubled boyfriend, comedian Pete Davidson. 

Like a pro: Despite the busy scene, Cindy gracefully made her way through the airport and to a waiting car 

Kaia and Cindy made their way through LAX Saturday morning looking less than thrilled to be back home. 

The two had just returned from New York where Cindy and husband Rande Gerber were caught having a lengthy conversation regarding Pete Davidson’s deteriorating mental state.

Kaia, like her mother, shaded her face with sunglasses.

Her face showcased little to no makeup and her hair was pulled back. 

In major contrast to her usually stylish off-duty model attire, Gerber looked noticeably dressed down in New Balance sneakers, straight-legged jeans, and a long-sleeved, tie-dyed Army top.

Cindy donned a black, leather jacket paired with similar denim to Kaia’s. 

Though she barely smiled for nearby cameras, the veteran supermodel did stop to sign autographs for those lucky enough to spot her in the busy airport.

Kaia waited inside, as her mom indulged in the fanfare.

One nearby photographer asked the 18-year-old about Pete Davidson, where Kaia reportedly answered back that she had ‘spent the holiday with [their] family.’

The conversation came about after Rande was inside Kaia’s apartment where he had been interacting with Pete alone. 

Gerber headed down to the apartment’s foyer soon after to inform Crawford of his concerns.

A bystander told DailyMail.com that Rande was heard saying to Cindy that his talk ‘wasn’t good’.

At one point, he brought his hands up to his face and widened his eyes, as if to imitate what he had seen.  

Pete reportedly left the apartment in a car down the street after the parents talked. Kaia was later seen returning to the building after dark.   

Kaia is one of the fashion world’s most in-demand young models, while Pete is a Saturday Night Live cast member who has both a troubled past and a long list of famous ex-girlfriends. The high-profile pair began dating in October.
